Muslim Kids Radio #2: Exploring some of the names of Allah
LEVEL: Pre-K + LANGUAGE: English
As Muslims there are many things that we know about Allah and those things we know from our prophets and from the Holy Qur'an. The Qur'an gives us 99 of the Most beautiful name of our creator. But today we will concentrate in just 4. These are 4 basic attributes that every muslim should know.
1- AL-'ALÎM The All-Knowing - Allah knows everything: He knows what you are doing now, he knows what you did yesterday and he knows what you will do tomorrow.
Allah knows every single detail of his creation. He knows If and when the trees are in season and when they can bear fruit, He knows everything in the universe and beyond. He knows what we don't know and he knows what is deep in your heart.
Who can do that other than Allah? No one
2- AL-BASÎR The All-Seeing Allah is all seeing: he sees everything you do the good and the bad. He sees if you are behaving in school, if you are kind to your parents and even if you go out to play.
Who can do that other than Allah? No one
3- AS-SAMÎ' The All-Hearing - Allah hears everything: Allah can hear me speak right now, the sound of the wind, the sound of the waves in the sea, he can hear everything.
Who can do that other than Allah? No one
4- AL-MUGHÎTH The Sustainer - Allah also gives us what we need for sustenance: He gives us food and clothing, but he does not need food and clothing himself. Allah gives us all of these wonderful things Subhannah Allah.
Who can do that other than Allah? No one
There is no one like Allaah.
when our prophet was asked about what was his concept of Allah he was made to recite Surah Al Ikhlas that says.
This is a Surah that we used in most of our prayers mashallah.
In the name of Allah The Beneficent, The Merciful, Say: He is Allah, the One and Only! Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not nor is He begotten.
And there is none like unto Him.
Surah 112 Translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali
This is a Surah that we used in most of our prayers mashallah.
